Life Is Difficult

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NLT
=============
Life is difficult! There I said it. Some would have you believe that life is daisies and rainbows. Those people are on crack! Life is difficult and the sooner you come to that revelation the better! Because once you come to that startling truth you can move forward and do something about the difficulties.

Those who are constantly whining about how bad and unfair life is just need to get over it. Crying about it will not fix anything. Being a whiner will not solve any of the problems that you face. You must resign yourself to accept the facts and deal with them. The longer you delay by continuing to cry about the hardships of life, the longer it will take you to achieve the success you deserve over them.

Jesus made it clear that in this world there would be trouble. He never denied that reality and He did not sugarcoat it. He made it plain that we all would face troubling times. However, he did give us a glimmer of hope when he said “but I have overcome the world.” He gave us an example that if He (as a man) could overcome the hardships of life so could we.
Yes. Life is hard, unfair, cruel and difficult! But you have the ability to overcome! Here is what you do:
1. Acknowledge that life is not a cake walk.
2. Accept responsibility for where you are. Yeah, life may have dealt you a bad hand, but if you wallow in self pity that is your fault.
3. Pick yourself up and get back in the game. Do whatever you need to do. Read books, listen to CD’s join a group find a mentor, do whatever you need to do to get yourself moving forward.
4. Do it now! There is no better time to get started than right now. The longer you delay, the longer you stay stuck. Get going!

One Response to “Life Is Difficult”

  1. Thanks for the reminder. And like Walt Disney said, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
